Bring the kids on this one. July 27 - 30. Planning and details HERE
We are going HERE!
Day trip to Hearst Castle.
RSVP here. We will be reserving a few campsites in a day or two - so if you haven't signed up by the time we make reservations, you will have to make your own. We get to choose campsites when we arrive, so as long as you have a spot reserved by the 27th, we will end up as close together as possible (the first person there might be able to grab up all the spots together in a loop.
If you want to go primitive, there are non-shower tent-only sites that may be available right up to the last minute (but don't count on it).
Here's where to make reservations - we will be in the SC STAN DEV 24FT area.
Everyone is welcome. KID FRIENDLY does NOT mean there won't be lots of singles there (unless all the singles decide that's what it means )
Sign up here.
I will need 1 full campsite for my group.

Angel, I have so much to teach you when you get out here.
Now I am hungry for a grilled hot dog.
I love them over a fire, and also marshmallows too.

Pete didn't even RSVP You know how I hate commitment.
EF, I keep telling you - bring the girls for the night. Think about it... even if you have to book a motel... it would be fun.

God I wish it was closer so I could at least do a day trip and hang out with ya'll! I'm afraid I'm with EF on this one. San Simeon is quite a schlep & all the good days are reserved. I agree that we should schedule a weekend trip for next year at a prime location.
Campsites go on sale 6 months in advance. Perhaps I'll take the lead on the next one, since Pete and EF did so much of the work this time around... and I'm not gonna make it.
The best things come to those who wait.

Maybe gas prices happened? Or timing. Don't worry. This will be good practice. The Indiana one was small to start and the next one was huge! Some people just have to hear how great it was before they sign up. Y'all are the leaders. Show us how to do it!

Pete, it's nearly 7 hours for me to drive down there...that's a LONG drive for just a short visit. It's not the camping part...I love camping...it's the travel time vs the visit time.
Come December I am going to book spaces for next summer at New Brighton Beach. And I expect you all to be there...Josh, you and Yesinia better be there too! And Pete and Angel, Gallows, Katts, Pali...and Tahoma, if you're not there I'm coming to Washington to kick your butt, got it? I want to see every single person that responded on the other thread to come...we'll have the premium spots...TONS of space and trees and the surf just below us...you guys will LOVE it! $35 per night per space...I think we can swing that. End of June sound good to everybody?

Come December I am going to book spaces for next summer at New Brighton Beach. And I expect you all to be there I'm with you on this one, and with that kind of advance notice, Yesenia will simply by required to go (she will neither be given the opportunity to nor the option of saying no ).
