Featuring the annual Hollywood Beach Latin Festival! Inviting all for a South Florida area MatchDoctor get together and the sounds of some of the best local and international Latin entertainers. Latin Fest is a showcase of both traditional and folkloric music on two stages, all taking place right on the beach and with a breath taking view of the Atlantic as the backdrop! Lots of dancing, folks and fun. Enjoy the great variety of Latin cuisine and crafts offered by venders all along the Hollywood Broadwalk. I've gone to Latin Fest almost every year for the last seven years and I can attest that this is one pretty cool event!
Where: Hollywood Beach/Broadwalk, Hollywood, Florida. At the end of the Johnson Street, you will see a bandshell with a stage. The place to meet is right on the beach behind the bandshell.
Date: Sunday, September 16, 2007.
Time: From 12:00PM to 8:00PM.
Admission: Free
Parking: $1 per hour metered parking or $8 all-you-can-park in the nearby parking garages.

Directions to Hollywood Beach\Broadwalk from this hotel: Head South on I-95 until you reach Hollywood Blvd, head on East on Hollywood Blvd a few miles, pass through Young Circle, then continue heading East 1 more mile on Hollywood Blvd, cross the bridge that goes over the Intracoastal Waterway. Hollywood Blvd dead-ends at A1A. Head North on Ocean Drive (A1A) about a half-mile until you reach Johnson Street.

Fuchia I am going to tenatively sign up for this one.. and see if I can get the weekend off from job two. I am not a big fan of Latin music , but I know I can have a good time no matter what. The festival sounds like fun and being right on the beach is pretty cool too.

Honbee and Dove, that would be awesome if y'all could make it! All I know is Latin Fest is a very vibrant and exciting event. I'm always drawn to go every year. Although I don't listen to Latin music a lot I do very much enjoy listening to it live.

Well I am on my trip, and I logged in to be pleasantly suprised that now five people have no signed up!  Honbee, Witchie, and Dove, I really do hope you will be able to show up. Not only do you get to meet me  (which by then, it should be the second time since I'm also signed up for the Lakeland event), BUT as an added incentive, you get to meet another follow Hollywood'ian, Gary51hwd!!   
Actually, it'll also be my first time as well. Anyway Gary, welcome!
Oh yeah, the other day, I realized I forgot to put the phone numbers in for the hotels.   Geez you'd think I was konked on the head a few times to forget to do that... lol...you know. like this ====>
Well anyway, like I said, I'm on vacation now, so I'll have to wait till I get home to do that.

Wow that's pretty cool that you live right there on the beach! lol...So I guess this means you can't use the "it's too far" excuse as a reason to not come join us.

I am going to rent some latin dance videos and practice adding one move to my current one move dance repetoire.. maybe I will dance better with sand in my shoes.
