My opinion is that some people will complain just to hear themselves complain if thats all that is available to them. What difference does it make.....if its here, or there, or wherever it is. People meet up because they WANT to.......not because they have to.
Im betting that if SOME people do show up.......they will complain about anything else they can find also......its hot, there are bugs, this isnt my brand of toothpaste, nag, nag, nag.

it makes a big difference to SOME of the people when you are planning on driving there daily for this....and if you cancelled things just so you could make sure that weekend wouldn't be taken...and you schedule things so you CAN make it to the gathering...only to find out it isn't at the place you thought it was to be at...but in a totally different state!?
oh well...i have learned my lesson...i just can't make plans for these anymore...
and yes, i have been to a few gatherings...no matter what, you will all have a wonderful time. there is nothing like meeting your friends that you chat with-putting a face to the words they type...

Okay I see I was late for this, but how can it be a michigan gathering and be where? Glad I was late getting back online. When anyone does have A gathering in MICHIGAN please please by all means let me know. I would love to attend. Really bummed I was planning on sending my money. Did not realize it would be needed in that much advance. Have fun all!

Daisy....To my knowledge noone bought any plane tickets in advance...so that is a good thing.......Heaven is still flying in from AZ and I think she just purchased her ticket not too long ago....

Less than 2 weeks now! I am making final preperations... repacking everything, checking lists, MAKING lists, (groceries).

Ok! Kinda confused exactly where this event is going to be!  Can someone post the address for the campground so that I can mapquest it? I read somewhere that it's near Fort Wayne? And I checked the posts and i'm still on the maybe list! Is there a new definite list out? Maybe someone can post a new one with the address!
The guitar is ready to travel.....anyone else gonna bring theirs?

no way, there are two going on.
they did not abandon newaygo, mi.
anyone inquiring now is obviously being direct 1 hour south to support that one
dont know if its for competitive reasons or what but they did not abandon these palns just like that. maybe there are too many people.

I know one location was Sandy beach on Hardy Pond, which is actually in White Cloud, MI - I think Newaygo county, not far from Newaygo.
I don't know, on the competitive edge, where others have been directed. Info is scant.
I suppose that a likely successful test of your hypothesis.

No...it wasn't anything like that.......not competitive.......just seemed the Michigan one was a little far for the majority of people coming....so it was moved...that's all.
We are all excited about going.....lots of food, fun, and friendly hanging out!
Lots of info in the getogether's thread...
Gonna go out on a boat all day, ride horses, and even have inner tubes! Not to mention campfire games.........oh and pranks!!
