The campsites are of good size and could be shared by several tents (depending on the site), if you share a site expect to pay your share of the fee...but still sharing can help keep expenses down especially for those traveling. I am willing to share my site with other women.

The more the merrier, but you could still RSVP that way we will have an idea on how many people to plan for... We are in the process of planning ice breakers and fun activities, SO if anyone has some good ideas kick them on out here so we can discuss them.
One thing we have decided on that everyone make a Sign or Banner with you online name on it (as artistic as you want to get) so that others who have talked with you online can find your camp.
Hey, and keep us posted as to if you see any of the glowing sands phenomenon through July...I'm hoping that conditions will be perfect the first weekend of August but would like to know if you see anything in July.

I have three more ladies confirmed to attend on the other site. I also told them about Matchdoctor so there may be more single women members on here.

Hello ~ (She said playfully with a fake English accent...)
I have a tent big enough to park a car in and it would still hold five people. I'm going small tent shopping.
I am going to try my darnest to make it to this. I miss the coast. I miss camping. I don't get to do it often enough, so this is good.

Welcome to the party, Frolicking! _______________
In the early brainstorming for this event, I threw out a bunch of diverse ideas, and Redwicket picked up on one in particular: We could build and fly kites together!
Encouraged, I went online and found this website that offers nice simple directions on how to build your own kite!
http://www.xs4all.nl/~pdj/eddy.htm
I also found a lot of other sites that stimulated my thinking about all the possibilities! (I'll be happy to share those with whoever might be interested.) With further brainstorming, Redwicket and I decided that a Kite Kompetition would be a fun activity for our weekend at the beach.
On Friday, we'll have lots of materials on hand for people to create their own flying devices, and then that evening we'll have the judging on the basis of aesthetics. On Saturday, then, we'll have the flying competition, with awards that night for the winners. If anybody wants to get the jump on the rest of us, we'll have a category for Home-Builts, and for those who might be less crafty, a division for Kit Kites. Some might want to work independently; others might want to make a team effort, so there'll be a category for Kite Kollectives, as well.
Sorry for all the Ks -- I just got on this mind-track for our Kite Kollaboration Kampout, and I can't Kuit!

The pressure! The pressure! Mine never did fly! (Bad kite flying experience from childhood.)

Hi, Fro --
I keep hearing that -- long histories of bad experience with kite-flying. Well, I think it's a cultural issue: In our culture, it's not until a person has achieved success that they can afford a large, round belly. On the other hand, a kite will never be successful without one!
Anyway, there's no pressure here -- it's all for fun! If your kite turns out lop-sided, or flies upside-down instead of right side up, we'll all just laugh with you, not at you!

If it flies upside down we might have to give you a prize... Isn't the tail the thing that is important in how well it flies...huh Jim? Not the Belly Do you sew Frolicking? You can find some pretty killer patterns for kites that you sew on the internet...then you can construct it at home (for the home made division) and try it out to see how well it works, takes away the pressure when you already know that it will fly

Well, heck. I'll be laughing at myself! I don't mind. It could very amusing.
Yes, I sew - since I was six. I don't know that I'll make one before hand, but even so - if it doesn't fly - it will be puuurty.

Ya know, Redwicket, that's another interesting contrast between humans and kites -- when a kite has plenty of belly, it has no need of tail; when people have a lot of belly, they have a hard time getting any ....
Yeah, you've got the right idea, Frolicking -- make it puurty! If it doesn't work, who'll care?

I just put my profile up and tried to rsvp but I guess my profile is too new to show up as RSVPed. I am definitely looking forward to it and will be there!

No problem, Heartfelt --
Just look for Redwicket's bright hair and glowing radiance -- ya can't miss it! (And just for good measure, we'll have banners up!) At this point, we're kinda targeting the group of campsites at the far end of the campground, nearest the trail to the beach. Be sure to post a banner or a flag or something at your own campsite -- something that says "Heartfelt," so we'll know who you are, and where!

Hi Everyone,
I want to mention this early on...This is an Adults Only Campout.
Perhaps at another gathering we will have a family included one, but the aim here is to create an Atmosphere that will be conducive to Adventure, Mystery, Romance...
So, Please if you have children get a sitter for the weekend, because we want you there but this is Adult play time.

Good idea Red. Kids are fun, but not at an Adult Playtime. Big Banana's only okay!!
I am hurt. I am most likely coming, but you have neglected to include me on your list.
I just hope there will be some of the people from Eastern Oregon coming. It is a ways for them. I will contact the ones I am acquainted with and see if they are coming. OKAY?????
We need to be planning what each should be bringing as far as food, drinks, etc for the group buffet.. Or is this just going to be a take care of yourself thing? Just a thought!!
It sounds like things are coming together. Thanks Red for doing above and beyond the call of duty. You got it off the ground.

Phil... We can't put you on the RSVP list, you have to put yourself there...when you post look at the bottom of the screen, there should be a button there.
Jim has suggested the possibility of a potluck, I just didn't know how much planning we wanted to do...as we have been more focusing on the play/ice breaking aspects of the gathering. I was thinking for the first time out Maybe we should let things take their own course...you know we Adults should be able to feed ourselves for the most part and make decisions such as this on the spot.. BUT, if you wish to be in charge of making and implimenting a plan for a potluck/buffet by all means...let us know what we can do. Red
