Actually the 40,000 will be far enough down the coast that I'm thinking it will be a good
thing for us as far as camp sites...and they will not all be camping anyway, you would
be surprised how many people are day trippers to the coast...
If you've read the postings then you know what to bring...yourself, camp gear, food...
But, since I haven't had any feedback on the grilled pizza, and I personally don't like
that kind of mess camping, I'm not bringing stuff for that.
I am bringing shishkabob things, sticks and some of the food needed...
But, if someone else wants to do the pizza feel free to bring the things for making that.
I'm getting ready to leave this morning, and Jim is also going today...MountainMan is
already there! Weather we get a horde or it's just us three, We are going to have a
blast!!! Don't feel shy, this is your opportunity to meet new friends, what else do you
have to do??? Well, I hear the waves calling my name...Hope to see everyone at the

Well, it turns out that I didn't make the trio to Eugene. So I am waiting like Sally. Pictures, details, who won the kite contest, etc.
I just hope that everyone is having a GREAT time.

Just now catching up with this thread. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend. Have a great time. On the other hand, I don't think I've ever not had a good time at a MD gathering. Always good folk there!
Oh, and go fly a kite.

Hi Sally, Phil, Solitaire, and any lurkers out there ....
It's over, we're back, and it was great! The weather was perfect, and Redwicket found the perfect site, a huge one, right next to the beach trail. We feasted and played with kites (the wind came up on Saturday, just right!), and we all got better acquainted.
I'm looking forward to our next event!

Jim, thanks for the update! I am sorry that Wes didn't make it. I think he needed it. Wish I could have been there also. As it worked out, I could have been. Dang!!
I hope we get to see some pictures. Also, who all attended? Seems like the group got smaller. Regardless, of all the like happenings, it seems like we had the most attending.
Good job Red! I hope you were pleased with it all. You really came through for the group.
I am glad all who attended had a great time. Oh yeah,!! Who won the Kite flying Kontest??

We had a Great time! So great that I am still resting up... I hope that everyone who
didn't make it to the campout had a good weekend, because you really missed out on
a great life experience. The weather was perfect, I got a site that had all the hook ups
and room for so many tents we couldn't have filled it up. Plus MountainMan had the
site across the way, so there was plenty of room. It will be a bit until pictures
will be posted, still have to unload my car...
So much fun on the beach... Redwicket

Yeah, Phil and Wes --
Too bad you missed it! As it turned out, we had a perfect 50:50 gender balance. As for our Kite Kompetition, not all of us flew kites, so we didn't end up doing an award ceremony. But we were all "skunked" by TrueBlue! And for the flying award, Redwicket's kite did the best, by far ....

I am a member of Tribe.net, thanks to Joymonger telling me about them...I will post some
on there, and of course look for Redwicket. I have some great ones, we had our pictures
taken with Smokie the bear

Hmmm! I went to Tribe.net, looked all over. found nothing in the way of Red's pictures. Being the computer dummy I am, I probably did something wrong.  Have you any explaination how the site works? It would be appreciated!!!

Try going to People and then searching for Redwicket...if you can't find me that way, I
will try to think of something else...The pictures are great, especially the ones with
Smokey  I laughed sooo much when taking them...

Thank you Red! I shall give it an attempt again. You could get individual addresses, then send the photos by blind e mail so that they come to each of us without all the other recipiant's addresses. Just a thought.!! It might work!!
Thanks for everything you have done Red. I am sorry I didn't get to meet all of you. Jim and I live within 20 miles of each other, and can probably have lunch sometime. I might get together with Wes sometime on my way to Eugene.

I was unable to find Redwicket's page on tribe.net myself, and she was unable to find mine! They must have a glitch in their search system. But I do have an idea: Red, if you would give us a link (which I think Tribe provides), we could go directly to your page there without suffering our way through the tribe.net system .....

I am really sorry I missed this. I was not feeling well at all. I kept looking for a way to find out how it went and couldn't find this thread. Finally thought to do a search with Oregon.
Is there any way to find out who attended?
I will make next year! I am glad to read everyone had a good time. I thought about all of you all weekend!
